FRCEM Primary teaching faculty-CMC NEPAL

Chitwan medical college professors continuously providing support and FRCEM Primary teaching for our HIEM trainees in Nepal.

Dr Gulam Anwer Khan is a Associate Professor and HOD working as Clinical Anatomist, Researcher, and Lecturer since 2012 in Chitwan Medical College, CMC, Nepal. He obtained his MBBS degree from Islamia University, Pakistan and MS Clinical Anatomy from Kathmandu University Nepal. He has Seven years of experiences in human anatomy specially teaching Gross anatomy, Histology, Embryology, Neuroanatomy, practical class, dissection, problem based learning PBL, traditional system, e-learning and health professions education for different undergraduate and post graduate programs (MBBS/BDS/Nursing/Pharmacy/Public Health/Laboratory Medicine). He is active life time member of Anatomy Society of India ASI and Society of Clinical Anatomist of India SOCA and member of Anatomical society of Great Britain and Ireland. He attended many conferences and is very keen to pursue research in anatomy. He has few publications in international journals. His recent original first author publication on “Variation in brachial plexus formation, branching pattern and relation with major vessels” has been published Int J Res Med. Sci.

Dr. Navin Kumar Chaudhary is Associate Professor and HOD, Department of Clinical Microbiology and Immunology, Coordinator, M. Sc. Clinical Microbiology in Chitwan Medical College & Teaching Hospital, Bharatpur, Chitwan, Nepal (Affiliated to Tribhuvan University, Recognized by Nepal Medical Council & Approved by Government of Nepal, Ministry of Education). He has been teaching theory and practical of the entire task related to Clinical Microbiology & Immunology to under graduate (UG) and post graduate (PG) Medical (MBBS, MD, MS), Dental (BDS), Nursing (BNS, BSc. Nsg, MN), and Allied Health Science (BPH, MPH, B Pharmacy, BSc. MLT, BSc. MIT) course in various Medical College affiliated to Kathmandu University and Tribhuvan University since 2009. He has supervised Seven UG & PG Thesis. He is regular Internal and External Examiner for UG & PG Examination of Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University. His numerous Interactional publications on the topics of different aspects of Microbiology have been well received and made a significant impact on the concept regarding advanced focus on Microbiology. He has attended many conferences and presented scientific research. He has participated in various training and work shop related with Microbiology teaching and research (Faculty Development Training, Work shop on constructing OSCE & OSPE, Micro research Work shop, Training Work shop on Health System Research Methodology, Training on Rapid HIV testing for VCT). He is member of American Society for Microbiology (ASM).


Prof. Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam post graduated from Calcutta University in Human physiology. He then obtained his Ph.D. degree from Jadavpur University (India) in 2001. His doctoral thesis was based on experiments on postmenopausal osteoporosis. Prof. Islam has been working as a Professor and Head of Physiology Department at Chitwan Medical College in Nepal since August, 2011. Before joining to Chitwan Medical College, he worked in the Department of Physiology of Garyounis University (Libya), Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia) and two other medical colleges in Nepal – National Medical College and Kathmandu Medical College. Prof. Islam has been teaching physiology for about eighteen years to the undergraduate and post graduate medical students. His research area includes Reproductive Physiology, Respiratory Physiology and Medical Education. He has published a good number of original research papers in different national and international refereed journals and presented his research work in several scientific conferences. He has authored one book published by LAP Lambert Academic Publishing Company (Germany) in 2011 entitled, “Stress and osteoporosis - a new approach”.
